Governor's Brother Chris Cuomo Tests Positive For Coronavirus
CNN anchor Chris Cuomo announced Tuesday he tested positive for COVID-19.

NEW YORK CITY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo's brother and CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has tested positive for new coronavirus, he announced Tuesday.
"I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Cristina," Cuomo tweeted. "That would make me worse than the illness."
Cuomo last visited CNN's Hudson Yards offices Friday and interviewed his brother remotely Monday evening, according to the network.

The "Cuomo Prime Time" has a fever, chills and shortness of breath and that he tested positive Tuesday morning after contact with others who had the virus.

Cuomo will continue to produce his show while in quarantine in his basement, he said.
"We will all beat this," Cuomo wrote, "by being tough and strong and united."
Meanwhile, in Albany, his brother Gov. Cuomo warned New Yorkers the COVID-19 apex had yet to hit New York State.
"Everyone is subject to this virus," the governor said. "My brother Chris is positive for coronavirus."
New York City had 43,139 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 932 deaths and New York State had 75,795 cases with 1,550 deaths as of Tuesday morning, according to city and state data.
Cuomo took time to praise his brother, whom he called his best friend, then kid him.
"He is going to be fine, he's young in good shape, strong," said Cuomo. "Well, not as strong as he thinks."
