HOT'97 Concert Photos: Lil' Kim, Safaree, Kranium And More
Daniela's Lens invites you to check out all of the Labor Day weekend surprises at Hot 97's On Da Reggae & Soca Tip show!
HOT '97's On Da Reggae & Soca Tip officially kicked off Labor Day weekend last night at the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island. The lineup included music heavyweight Kranium, Ding Dong, Konshens and Elephant Man. But the event organizers had more than one surprise for the crowd: Lil Kim came on stage and later that evening Safaree performed with Ding Dong.

8:00 p.m.
I arrive at Coney Island and make my way to the photographer pit. On my way, I see these two. Mom and daughter are equally excited about the show!
8:27 p.m.
First on the stage is Dovey Magnum.
9:11 p.m.
"Who is from Trinidad?" asks Nailah Blackman the crowd.
9:15 p.m.
Many people in the crowd brought a flag from their home country.
9:35 p.m.
This one enjoys the show!
9:40 p.m.
Shal Marshall.
9:45 p.m.
The crowd goes crazy when Kranium performs. He climbs all the way down to the pit and I snap a cute photo of one of his fans hugging him. Awwww!
9:52 p.m.
On one side of the stage, I see J. He is a photographer specialized in backstage celebrity concert photography. Yes, that's a thing! If he is here, there will be a real superstar arriving, soon.
And I'm right. It's Lil' Kim!
9:57 p.m.
She performs two songs with Kranium.
10:12 p.m.
Ding Dong is next.
During Ding Dongs first few songs I start seeing more signs that something is about to happen. There are suddenly a lot more people in the back of the stage. Lots of models and three huge security guards. This looks like a celebrity entourage.
10:18 p.m.
And then another surprise! Safaree is here!
10:22 p.m.
Safaree connects with his fans.
10:33 p.m.
Ding Dong asks this boy to dance with them.
10:41 p.m.

Konshens!
