NEW YORK CITY — A nor'easter is set to ruin any outdoor plans you had Saturday.

Heavy rain and gusty winds up to 45 mph are in the forecast.

Winds could be powerful enough to break tree limbs, knock over poorly-rooted trees, lead to sporadic power outages and even cause minor property damage, according to AccuWeather.

The rain should end Saturday night. The wind will keep howling Sunday when things will be dry and cold, with a high of 41 degrees.

Rain, mainly before 3pm. Temperature rising to near 44 by noon, then falling to around 40 during the remainder of the day. North wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

A 30 percent chance of rain before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
