L Trains Stalled By Williamsburg Water Main Break, MTA Says
A water main break near the Bedford Avenue station shut down a stretch of the L line for about three hours Wednesday morning, the MTA said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A Williamsburg water main break forced the MTA to shut down L train service between Brooklyn and Manhattan and caused major delays on the north Brooklyn lines, officials said.
Water began gushing onto the tracks near the Bedford Avenue station at North Seventh Street early Wednesday morning, according to an MTA tweet.
L train service between First and Myrtle avenues was shut down in both directions until about 7:50 a.m. with passengers rerouted to the J, M and Z trains as well as local buses, officials said.

The MTA warned straphangers to expect extensive delays because L trains had been kept in storage as the water main break was fixed.
"Trains are leaving the yard now but it's later in the morning than normal so there will be less trains running/waits may be longer," the MTA tweeted. "Consider taking the JMZ!"
