LES Restaurant Dudley's Shut After Health Inspectors Find Sewage
A recent inspection yielded three "critical violations" at the restaurant.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — Lower East Side bar and restaurant Dudley's was closed by the city health department after inspectors found traces of sewage in a food preparation area.
The health department listed three "critical violations" at the restaurant on Orchard Street near Broome Street, earning it 42 violation points.
The violations included cold food items being held above 41 degrees, a food preparation area being contaminated by sewage and a food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after being contaminated.

According to its website, Dudley's serves brunch and dinner and is usually open every day of the week.
A call to the restaurant on Monday was not immediately returned.
