Local Legislator Honors Newest Eagle Scout

From the Suffolk County Legislature: Legislator Susan A. Berland (D-Dix Hills, 16" L.D.), attended the Court of Honor for Eagle Scout David Plocharczyk at the Brentwood Public Library and presented him with a proclamation from the 16" Legislative District.

David, a student in the Brentwood Union Free School District, devoted many hours revitalizing a garden at the Brentwood North Middle School for his Eagle Project. He removed weeds and planted perennials at the school, all to help create a more welcoming entrance for the students, staff and community.

"My congratulations to David on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout," stated Legislator Berland. “As a mother of an Eagle Scout, I know the time and dedication needed to achieve this goal and just how special this occasion is for David and his family."
