'Madam Secretary' Cast Debuts New Season At Tribeca TV Festival

Daniela's Lens stopped by the Tribeca TV Festival where the cast of 'Madame Secretary' premiered their new season during a special Q&A!

"Madam Secretary" celebrated the premiere of season 5 last night at the second annual Tribeca TV Festival in Manhattan. The cast of the CBS drama even attended the screening and stayed for a Q&A session afterwards. With Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell all making special guest appearances on the show, you definitely won't want to miss this one! The season premiere of "Madam Secretary" will air on Sunday, October 7, on CBS, so mark your calendars!

In the meantime, you can check out all of the highlights of the Tribeca TV Festival premiere through Daniela's Lens below!

8:00 p.m.
I love this show! Tonight I'll take photos of the main cast, watch the first episode of season 5 and attend an exclusive Q&A with the cast. It's a real treat!

8:17 p.m.
Keith Carradine is first on the carpet.
"He plays the president in the show," I say to the photographer next to me.
"Hello, Mr. President!" I say to Keith.

8:22 p.m.
Tim Daly is next. The shoes!
"I love your shoes!" I say to him.
"Thank you!"

8:24 p.m.
Right after we are done taking his photo, all the photographers start googling the shoes. "MB3L3" "M1L3L".
"Adidas Originals by Pharrell Williams!" I say and hold my phone up for everyone to see.
"Didn't Kanye start the thing with the weird numbers?" says one of the photographers.
"What does it mean anyway?" I say, but nobody has an answer. I still want the shoes!

8:30 p.m.
Erich Bergen looks chic!

8:32 p.m.
Executive producer Lori McCreary.
During the Q&A she gets asked: "How did you get Hillary Clinton on the show?"
Her answer: "Tim Daly is friends with Madeleine Albright. That helped. And then I attended Hillary's husbands birthday party, and we were joking that she should come on the show and I never thought she would. But she was serious about it!"

Tim Daly and Zeljko Ivanek
8:35 p.m.

8:36 p.m.
Tea Leoni arrives.
"What's so exciting about having the secretaries on the show is that they are the people who inspired us to do the show in the first place!" she says during Q&A.
"These guys are a little goofy, and you would never think they are, it's a little surprising but in a good way!"

One of the questions during the Q&A is:
"What is the most fun playing Elizabeth and Henry McCord on the show?"
Tim Daly: "I like when we fight!"
Tea Leoni: "I like the bed scenes!..."

8:40 p.m.
The main cast!

8:45 p.m.
On the way out Tim Daly walks up to me and asks:
"Where is your accent from?"
"Germany!" I say.
"I've never been. I need to go!"

8:46 p.m.
I pick up my ticket and go upstairs to the screening room. The event takes place at Spring Studios in Gallery 2. The same room I just spent almost all week in during New York Fashion Week. Today it's all rearranged for the Tribeca TV festival.

8:55 p.m.
I watch the show. In one of the final scenes, the three former secretaries Hillary Clinton, Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell make their appearance on screen. Everybody applauds enthusiastically. Awww!
