Major Delays As Water Main Break Shuts Cross Bronx Expressway
The break flooded the expressway near Jerome Avenue and caused delays back to the George Washington Bridge.

THE BRONX, NY – A major water main break closed down the Cross Bronx Expressway Thursday, stranding motorist and causing hours-long delays on the George Washington Bridge.
The break happened at Jerome Avenue and West 175th Street around 3 a.m. and forced the closure of all southbound lanes, the FDNY and the Office of Emergency Management said.

The mess was still causing major traffic snarls at 8:30 a.m.
