A 57-year-old man is facing charges for shoving a man into a train after the good Samaritan intervened in a fight on the subway platform.
HARLEM, NY — A man is facing charges for killing a good Samaritan who intervened in a fight on a Harlem subway platform this month, NYPD officials announced.
Todd Hubbard was arrested Thursday and charged with murder and assault for the July 3 killing of Dwayne Brown, NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said. Hubbard was harassing two women on the platform of the 125th Street and Lenox Avenue station when Brown intervened in the fight, police said.
Hubbard and Brown engaged in a struggle after the good Samaritan got involved, which resulted in Hubbard shoving Brown in front of an oncoming train, Harrison said.
