Manhattan Weekend Subway Alerts: Get Ready to Ride Local on the 4

A host of changes will affect you as you try to get around the city on this busy Pride Weekend.

MANHATTAN, NY — Few weekends in Manhattan aren't busy, but this weekend will be even crazier due to the Pride Parade and assorted events connected to PrideFest.

All of the street closures can be found in our Pride guide, but if you're going to be traveling to events underground you're not immune from issues. There are plenty of changes due to the usual weekend track work.

Here are some of the subway changes to watch out for this weekend (and you can get more line-specific information on the MTA's Weekender website):

1 train: Uptown and downtown trains will be skipping 18, 23 and 28 Streets. No trains between 14th St. and South Ferry — 2,3 trains and free shuttle busses provide alternate service.

2 train: Trains run local in both directions between 34th St-Penn Station and Chambers St.

4 train: Trains run local in both directions between 125th St. and Brooklyn Bridge.

A train: Downtown trains will skip 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Streets. Trains make local stops in both directions at 23 and 50 Streets.

C train: Euclid Avenue-bound trains will skip 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Streets.

D train: Norwood-bound trains make local stops at 14 St and 23 St.
