New Years Eve Weather In NYC: What To Expect

NEW YORK CITY — Expect clouds to hover New York City as the ball drops on New Year's Eve, forecasters say.

Revelers who gather in Times Square on Dec. 31 to celebrate the New Year will face temperatures in the low 30s and cloudy skies, according to National Weather Service predictions.

On the upside, Jan. 1 will be sunny and warm with highs in the 40s, according to forecasters.

The remainder of 2019 will be warm if a bit wet with temperatures hovering in the 40s and lower 50s and rain predicted Thursday night, Friday and Sunday night, according to the forecast.
