NY Governor Cuomo Tests Negative For Coronavirus
Andrew Cuomo has tested negative for novel coronavirus, the New York governor announced Monday.

NEW YORK CITY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo tested negative for novel coronavirus, he announced Monday.
Cuomo announced this clean bill of health one day after taking the test live during his daily COVID-19 press briefing.
"When you find out you're negative it's actually a nice sense of relief," Cuomo said. "I was asymptomatic, but still."

The governor got up from his seat during his live daily press briefing as he reported not enough New Yorkers had taken advantage of 700 testing sites set up across the state.

"That's it," Cuomo said as a doctor swabbed his nose. "Nothing else."
In New York, anybody with symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in contact with a person with the coronavirus can get a test.

In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a partnership with CityMD clinics, which will test 6,000 New Yorkers a day across is 123 sites.
Healthcare workers, first responders, nursing home workers, essential workers who interact with the public, people who are quarantined and those who will return to work in the "Phase 1" of the reopening — curbside retail, construction and manufacturing jobs — can also get a test.
