NY Mom Featured In Bloomberg's Anti-Gun Super Bowl Weekend Ads
Shenee Johnson, the mom of a young man murdered in Queens, is among the victims of gun violence featured in the former New York mayor's ads.

NEW YORK CITY — The mother of a New York City teen — murdered one week before his high school graduation — is featured in a new anti-gun violence ad from Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg.
The video launched Friday as part of the former New York City mayor's newest campaign, which includes an ad to run during the Super Bowl this Sunday.
Bloomberg’s campaign has shelled out millions of dollars to run a political ad, for the first time, during the 2020 NFL Super Bowl, with nearly 100 million viewers expected to tune in.

Kedrick was a straight-A student expecting to attend St. John’s University on a scholarship when armed gunmen barged into a party he was attending in Springfield Gardens in May 2010, the Post reported at the time.
In the ad, Johnson says her son was "destined for greatness."
"He said, 'Mom the world will know my name.'"
