NYC Weather: Sun Finally Forecast For This Weekend

After a rainy few weekends, Saturday is expected to be sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

NEW YORK, NY — After two weekends of rain, New Yorkers can expect some relief by Saturday when forecasters predict mostly sunny weather, according to the National Weather Service.

A chance of showers is still possible throughout the weekend, but during the day Saturday, it is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 70, forecasters said.

A chance of rain showers still remains throughout much of Friday and through the weekend though, forecasters said.

Here's the full weekend forecast:

Friday: 30% chance of showers, mostly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny with a high near 75. Winds 7 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 25.

Friday night: 20% chance of showers before midnight. Partly cloudy with a low about 55. Winds 9 to 11 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable.

Saturday night: 20% chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy with a low about 58. Winds 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: 20% chance of showers. Partly sunny with a high near 74. Winds 6 to 10 mph.

Sunday night: 30% chance of showers. Mostly cloudy with a low about 64.
