NEW YORK CITY — It May snow in New York City. Seriously.

This flaky anomaly comes as New York experiences one of the coldest springs in its recorded history with temperatures about 20 degrees lower than the average, according to AccuWeather forecasters.

"The crazy pattern is being set into motion by a break-off lobe of the polar vortex," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Brett Anderson said. "Or a displacement of the same."
