Rainy, cloudy weather continues amid a cool mid-May, according to the National Weather Service.

NEW YORK, NY — Rain showers are likely Tuesday, as a cool and cloudy week continues, according to the National Weather Service.
After a rainy weekend and some of the coolest May temperatures recorded in New York, Tuesday will see a 60% chance of precipitation and showers likely, mostly after 2 p.m., the weather service said.
Record low of 42 set today at LGA. This breaks the old record of 45 set in 1998.

The high will be near 53, and winds will be light and variable, according to the weather service.

Thursday: 20% chance of showers before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Winds 7 to 9 mph
Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a low about 53.
