NYC Weather: Thunderstorms And Hail Possible This Weekend
Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible this weekend, the weather service said.
NEW YORK, NY — Sunny skies are slated for Thursday — but New Yorkers may see thunderstorms and large hailstones this weekend.
The National Weather Service issued an alert for possible hazardous weather conditions beginning Friday — with the possibility of scattered severe thunderstorms, large hail and damaging winds.
Though as of Thursday, the chance of thunderstorms was only forecast for Saturday, the weather service issued the possible hazardous weather alert all the way through Wednesday in New York City.

Thursday and Friday are expected to be sunny with a high of 89. A patchy fog will blanket New York after 1 a.m. Friday evening, the weather service said.
There's a 30 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Saturday, the weather service said.

Thursday: Sunny with a high near 89.
Thursday night: Mostly clear with a low about 71.
Friday: Mostly sunny with a high near 89. Light and variable wind in the afternoon, 5 to 7 mph.
Friday night: Patchy fog after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy with a low about 72.
Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 12 p.m. Then, mostly sunny with a high near 85.
Saturday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m. Partly cloudy with a low about 72.
Sunday: Sunny with a high near 81.
Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low about 67.
