NYC Weather: Thunderstorms Set To Drench City
The storms are forecast to start Thursday afternoon.

NEW YORK CITY – Thunderstorms that could drench New York City with up to an inch-and-a-half of rain are expected to hit Thursday, forecasters said.
The storms are predicted to start in the afternoon, with the heaviest rainfall coming during the night. The National Weather Forecast warned of half an inch falling during the daytime, followed by up to an inch overnight.
That amount of water could cause flash flooding and dangerous driving conditions. Fog is also expected.
