NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Aug. 13-14

Subway changes are coming to the 3, 6, L, F, M, N, R and J trains for Aug. 13-14.

NEW YORK CITY, NY — The subway changes are surprisingly light for what could be the hottest weekend of the year. Should you be willing to risk melting, you won't have many detours to worry about at least (unless you ride the R train).

Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

3 train:

  • Saratoga Av and Pennsylvania Av Stations are closed for renovation

6 train:

  • Pelham Bay Park-bound trains run express from 3 Av-138 St to Parkchester

L train:

  • No trains between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Pkwy

F train:

  • Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
  • Coney Island-bound trains are rerouted via the E line after Roosevelt Av to 5 Av/53 St

M train:

  • Essex St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
  • Trains run every 20 minutes

N train:

  • Manhattan-bound platforms at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av and Fort Hamilton Pkwy are closed for renovation
  • Trains run via the Q line in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St

R train:

  • Bay Ridge-bound trains skip 65 St, Northern Blvd, 46 St, Steinway St and 36 St
  • Forest Hills-bound trains skip Elmhurst, Grand Avs, Woodhaven Blvd, 63 Dr and 67 Av
  • Trains run via the Q line in both directions between DeKalb Av and Canal St

J train:

  • Broad St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
