NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Aug. 20-21
Changes are coming to the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, A, E, L, D, F, M, N, R and J trains this weekend.

NEW YORK, NY — The subway changes are numerous for this second-to-last weekend of the unofficial summer. So unless you use only the G train, read on.
Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)
1 train:

- South Ferry-bound trains skip 137, 125, 116, 110 and 103 Sts
2 train:
- No trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn; 5 trains replace the 2 in the Bronx and Brooklyn
3 train:

- No trains between 14 St and New Lots Av
4 train:
- New Lots Av-bound trains skip 176 St, Mt Eden Av, 170 St, 167 St and 161 St
- Service is extended to New Lots Av
5 train:
- No trains between E 180 St and Dyre Av
- 5 rains replace the 2 in the Bronx and Brooklyn
A train:
- No trains between 168 St and 207 St
E train:
- Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and 21 St-Queensbridge
- Trains run local in both directions in Queens
L train:
- No trains between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Rockaway Pkwy
D train:
- No trains between 34 St-Herald Sq and Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr
F train:
- Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
- Trains run local in both directions between 21 St-Queensbridge and 71 Av
M train:
- Essex St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
- Trains runs every 20 minutes
N train:
- Manhattan-bound platforms at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av and Fort Hamilton Pkwy are closed for renovation
- Trains run local in both directions between DeKalb Av and 59 St, Brooklyn
R train:
- No shuttle train between 36 St and 59 St, Brooklyn; N provides alternate service
J train:
- Broad St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
