NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Aug. 27-28

NEW YORK, NY — The subway changes are plentiful on this last weekend of summer (or is that Labor Day Weekend, we're not sure?). Basically, unless you only take the L or G train, you'll need read on.

Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

1 train:

• South Ferry-bound trains skip 137, 125, 116, 110 and 103 Sts

2 train:

• No trains between Manhattan and Brooklyn; 5 trains replace the 2 in the Bronx and Brooklyn

3 train:

• No trains between 14 St and New Lots Av; 4, N, Q, R trains provide alternate service

4 train:

• Service is extended to New Lots Av

5 train:

• 5 trains replace the 2 in the Bronx and Brooklyn

A train:

• Inwood-bound trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St
• Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound trains run local from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle

C train:

• 168 St-bound trains skip Spring St, 23 St and 50 St

E train:

• Jamaica Center-bound trains skip Spring St and 23 St
• World Trade Center-bound trains run express from 71 Av to Queens Plaza

S train:

• 42 Street Shuttle service operates overnight

D train:

• Coney Island-bound trains run local from 125 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle
• Norwood-bound trains run via the N from Stillwell Av to 36 St

F train:

• Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
• Jamaica-bound trains are rerouted via the E after 47-50 Sts to Roosevelt Av

M train:

• Essex St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
• Trains run every 20 minutes

N train:

• Manhattan-bound platforms at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av and Fort Hamilton Pkwy are closed for renovation

R train:

• Bay Ridge-bound trains run express from 71 Av to Queens Plaza
• Service is extended to the Jamaica-179 St F Station

J train:

• Broad St-bound trains skip Flushing Av, Lorimer St and Hewes St
