NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Oct. 22-23

Changes are coming to the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, A, C, F, N and Q trains this weekend.

NEW YORK, NY — The weather is going to stink this weekend and MTA is making it really easy to choose to stay inside. The numbered lines, especially the 4, will be a mess this weekend.

Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

1 train:

  • No trains between 14 St and South Ferry
  • Trains skip 18, 23 and 28 Sts; 2, 3 trains provide alternate service

2 train:

  • Trains run local in both directions between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St

3 train:

  • No trains between Utica Av and New Lots Av
  • Service operates between 148 St and Utica Av
  • Trains run local in both directions between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St

4 train:

  • No trains between Brooklyn Bridge and Utica Av/New Lots Av; 2, 3, D, N, Q, R and free shuttle buses provide alternate service
  • Trains run local in both directions between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge

5 train:

  • No trains between E 180 St and Dyre Av
  • No trains between Grand Central-42 St and Bowling Green; 4, 6 and R trains provide alternate service

7 train:

  • No trains between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards
  • Queensboro Plaza-bound trains skip 69, 52, 46, 40 and 33 Sts

A train:

  • No trains between 168 St and 207 St
  • Trains make local stops in both directions at 155 St and 163 St

C train:

  • No trains between 145 St and 168 St; A trains provide alternate service
  • Trains skip 135 St in both directions; Take the A instead

F train:

  • Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
  • Coney Island-bound trains run via the E from Roosevelt Av to 5 Av/53 St

N train:

  • Manhattan-bound platforms at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av and Fort Hamilton Pkwy are closed for renovation

Q train:

  • Service operates between Stillwell Av and Ditmars Blvd
