NYC Weekend Subway Service Changes for Oct. 8-9

Changes are coming to the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, A, C, E, D, F, M, N, R and J trains this weekend.

NEW YORK, NY — There are many changes coming to the subway lines this weekend, highlighted by the Eastern Parkway Station in Brooklyn being closed all Saturday morning and J and M trains running in two sections all day Saturday.

Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

2 train:

  • Eastern Pkwy Station is closed due to a local event (Saturday, 3 a.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • No trains between 96 St and 241 St
  • Trains run local in both directions between Times Sq-42 St and 96 St

3 train:

  • Eastern Pkwy Station is closed due to a local event (Saturday, 3 a.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • No trains running

4 train:

  • Eastern Pkwy Station is closed due to a local event (Saturday, 3 a.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St are closed for renovation
  • 4 trains replace the 3 between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and New Lots Av

5 train:

  • No trains between E 180 St and Dyre Av

6 train:

  • Pelham Bay Park-bound trains run express from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park

7 train:

  • Flushing-bound trains skip 33, 40, 46, 52 and 69 Sts
  • Flushing-bound trains skip 82, 90, 103 and 111 Sts

A train:

  • Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech
  • No trains between 168 St and 207 St
  • Trains make local stops in both directions at 155 St and 163 St
  • Trains make local stops in both directions at 23 St and 50 St
  • C trains skip 135 St in both directions; Take the A instead

C train:

  • Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech
  • No trains between 145 St and 168 St; A trains provide alternate service
  • Trains skip 135 St in both directions; Take the A instead

E train:

  • Trains run via the F in both directions between W 4 St and 21 St-Queensbridge
  • World Trade Center-bound trains run express from 71 Av to 21 St-Queensbridge F Station
  • World Trade Center-bound trains skip Briarwood and 75 Av

D train:

  • Norwood-bound trains skip Bay 50 St and 25 Av

F train:

  • Coney Island-bound platforms at Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U and Avenue X are closed for renovation
  • Coney Island-bound trains skip Sutphin Blvd, Briarwood and 75 Av

M train:

  • No trains between Myrtle Av and Essex St (Saturday, 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Service operates between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av; J service operates between Jamaica Center and Hewes St (Saturday, 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

N train:

  • Coney Island-bound trains skip 30 Av, Broadway, 36 Av and 39 Av
  • Manhattan-bound platforms at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av and Fort Hamilton Pkwy are closed for renovation

R train:

  • Bay Ridge-bound trains run express from 71 Av to Queens Plaza

J train:

  • No trains between Hewes St and Broad St (Saturday, 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Service operates between Jamaica Center and Hewes St; M service operates between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av (Saturday, 5:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
