3 Fun Family-Friendly Events Not To Miss At This Year's NYC Wine & Food Festival

The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Coca-Cola is back and packed full of family-friendly events that you won't want to miss. From make-your-own ice cream sundaes to a laid back rooftop barbecue, the 10th anniversary celebration of all things culinary in New York City has something for everyone in your family, regardless of age.

Family Ice Cream Fun-dae hosted by Mario Batali and Ayesha CurryDetails: Master Chef Mario Batali is teaming up with Ayesha Curry of the Food Network for an afternoon of family-friendly ice cream fun. This "fun-dae" will feature hand-picked gelato and traditional ice cream treats that the little ones will go bananas for.

Date & Time: The Ice Cream Fun-dae will take place Saturday, October 14th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Tickets: You can purchase tickets for Family Ice Cream Fun-dae online. Junior admission starts at $25, and adult tickets are $75.

Coca-Cola Backyard BBQ presented by National Beef hosted by David Burtka, Pat LaFrieda and Andrew Zimmern

Details: Play games with the kids and sample BBQ delights crafted by some of New York's finest grill masters. Pier 92’s expansive rooftop will serve as the “backyard” for this laid back barbecue bash.

Date & Time: The event will take place on Sunday, October 15th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite featuring Samsung® Culinary Demonstrations presented by Mastercard®

Details: You’ll be able to mingle with festival attendees, try delicious gourmet appetizers and cocktails and even snap a picture with food stars. Guests can sample bites from some of New York’s finest eateries and even learn how legendary Food Network chefs prepare their signature dishes during one of the several culinary demonstrations.

Date & Time: The tasting will take place on Saturday, October 14th from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
