NEW YORK, NY — Meet Pluto, an energetic, playful bunny who is absolutely out of this world.

Pluto is this week's Patch Pet of the Week, a feature that helps find homes for the dogs, cats and rabbits of the Animal Care Centers of NYC. The ACC is a New York-based organization with the goal to find permanent homes for abandoned animals.

Now, it's time to introduce our star of the week!

Pluto first arrived at the Manhattan Animal Care Center in May 2019 and has been bouncing off the walls ever since. While he enjoys play time, a volunteer at the MACC noted that "he's happy for a long petting session while lounging in his litter box."

This short-haired bunny is nine months old and weighs a healthy 5.6 pounds. He is microchipped, vaccinated and spayed. The same MACC volunteer suggested that "Pluto is going to need a lot of space in his home" so he can "expend some of that youthful energy."
