NEW YORK – Meet Tiger the 8-year-old cat who, despite his ferocious name, is described as a "lover not a fighter."

The orange tabby is currently staying with Animal Care Centers of NYC and he's Patch's Pet of the Week, a regular feature aimed at helping find homes for dogs, cats and rabbits.

Tiger is fully house trained and is used to being around people. He's described by an ACC volunteer as "very sociable and calm, a lover of affection and giver of head rubs."

"He's a talker and a player, a lover not a fighter, and he's looking for a new home where he'll be cherished and loved forever."
