DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — A man was fatally hit by a train in a Ditmas Park Station Thursday morning, the MTA said.

A northbound Q train struck the man at the Newkirk Plaza station near Foster Avenue, the MTA announced just after 7 a.m.

The man has not yet been identified, and police were still investigating as of 8:25 a.m. whether the incident was a suicide, but he does not appear to have been the victim of a crime, according to the NYPD.

The aboveground station is at the bottom of a hill and around a curve, which can make it more difficult for train conductors to slam on the brakes, according to Tony Mannino, the signal worker who saved a woman's life in the station last August.
