Photos: 'The Shed' Arts Center Opens in Hudson Yards

The Shed is the latest structure to open during the rebuild of the bubbling Hudson Yards neighborhood.

Located directly across from the Vessel, The Shed will be a 200,000-square-foot arts center boasting a gallery space, a theater, a rehearsal space, a creative lab and an event space. "It's enveloped by a giant telescoping shell that can be moved in a matter of minutes to incorporate an adjoining open-air plaza," reported AP.

The Shed, part of the $25 billion Hudson Yards rebuild, will open to the public this Friday April 4, 2019.
