'Puzzle' Film: Pics From Sony Classics' Special NYC Screening

Daniela's Lens doesn't miss a piece capturing best moments from Sony's screening of new movie "Puzzle" and after-party at iconic Roxy Hotel!

Last night, Daniela's Lens took us to an intimate screening of the new movie "Puzzle" followed by an after-party at the Roxy Hotel in Tribeca. The upcoming drama, which made waves at Sundance this year, is about a woman's own reflections coming to light after discovering a deep passion for solving jigsaw puzzles. Distributed by Sony Pictures Classics, 'Puzzle' stars Kelly Macdonald and opens this Friday, July 27th.

From supermodels to Steve Buscemi, check out highlights from last night below!

6:15 p.m.
I'm so early; the backdrop isn't even set up yet.
"Putting this together is a total puzzle!" says one of the guys. So on-topic.

6:30 p.m.
I sit back and watch the movie trailer for "Puzzle." It's about a nerdy woman who is really good at solving jigsaw puzzles. I like that. There should be a lot more female nerds in the movies. I'm still waiting for a female coder story, though.

David Denman and Kelly Macdonald

7:28 p.m.

"She was also in T2!" says one of the photographers.
"What's T2?!"
"Trainspotting 2!" he says as if that's common knowledge. "She is Scottish, you know."

Kelly Macdonald

7:31 p.m.
Hi, Kelly!

7:33 p.m.
Steve Buscemi is here! Kelly takes his hand and leads him to the carpet. They pose together for the first three photographers. The cast jumps on the carpet before the rest of us can get the shot. Someone hands Buscemi a glass of red wine, and he disappears into the movie theater.
"No, man!" the photographer next to me says.
"I hope we get him at the after party," I say.

7:36 p.m.
The cast, director, and producers.

7:40 p.m.
"Is my hair alright?" says Trieste Dunn and smoothes down her hair with her hands.

7:43 p.m.
French actress Loan Chabanol.

7:45 p.m.
Dylan Sprouse can't stop laughing.
"I need to look serious. Let me try again! Seriously!" he says and tries to stop smiling.

7:48 p.m.
Dylan brought Hungarian supermodel Barbara Palvin.
"Who are you wearing?" asks one of the photographers.
"Oh, I don't know." she says "Take a look!" She turns around and shows the photographer her back. He puts on glasses, carefully pulls down an inch of the rear of her dress and checks out the clothing label.
"It's Cushnie et Ochs!" he says.
And all the photographers nod and know the label because we all have become fashion experts over the years.

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin

7:49 p.m.
I see Dylan and Barbara getting popcorn and giggling non-stop.
"Can I get a quick shot of you together?"

7:52 p.m.
The movie starts, and the photographers take the time to edit their photos. I sit in the lobby of the Roxy Hotel and upload the first 80 shots before the film ends.

9:15 p.m.
The after party is also in the Roxy Hotel. Gorgeous venue!

9:30 p.m.
And there is food! The smell is so good!
"I'm so hungry!" says one of the photographers.
I eat some popcorn I took from the movie theater to numb out my taste buds for a while. I need to take some photos before there is time to eat!

9:52 p.m.
The founders of Sony Pictures Classics Michael Barker and Tom Bernard.

9:54 p.m.
Russian super model Vlada Roslyakova.

9:55 p.m.
Nightlife legend Amy Sacco.

Jo Andres and Steve Buscemi

9:56 p.m.
And there is Steve Buscemi with his wife Jo Andres, and I get my shot!

Oren Moverman (director), Bubba Weiler (actor), Marc Turtletaub (producer) and David Denman (actor)

10:18 p.m.
Group shot, gentleman!
