UPDATE: Gun Charge Dropped Against Rapper Desiigner After Arrest in NYC
The 19-year-old rapper from Brooklyn was arrested and originally charged with four crimes in a road rage incident, police said.

UPDATE Sept. 10 12 p.m.: Two of the four charges against Desiigner, including the most serious, were dropped on Saturday morning as the rapper was arraigned on just possession of a controlled substance and menacing.
Criminal possession of a firearm was dropped after Desiigner's lawyer said no weapon was found in a search of the vehicle.
Prosecutors also dropped the charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

The Brooklyn-born rapper was released from prison Saturday morning after his arraignment.

NEW YORK, NY — Rapper Desiigner has been arrested on multiple gun and drug charges after he got into a road rage incident with a woman in Midtown late Thursday.
The 19-year-old, real name Sidney Selby, got into an argument with a woman exiting the Lincoln Tunnel at 9:10 p.m. near West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, police said. He exited his car and pointed a gun at the woman before getting back in his White Escalade and driving off, according to the NYPD.
The woman jotted down his license plate and called 911, and the suspect was apprehended a short time later at West 42nd Street and Third Avenue, police said.
He's been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a loaded firearm and menacing, for threatening the woman, police said.
According to TMZ, a large number of pills were found in the vehicle.
Desiigner, who resides at the 300 block of Lexington Avenue in Bed-Stuy, is best known for the hit single "Panda," which was released in 2016. The video, ironically, opens with an NYPD police car and shows him pulling someone out of a car while brandishing a gun.
