Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?

Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman let me write things for you

I bet FOX will pick it up & pair it with Tim Allen's show. https://t.co/5MyZf9UT3X via @thr

Omg. I used to take Ambien! How many times was I racist in my sleep?! GIRL BYE. #ownyouractions

But honestly she got what she deserved. As I tell my 4 year old, one makes a choice with one’s actions. Roseanne made a choice. A racist one. ABC made a choice. A human one.

So proud of @ABCNetwork for having the ethical compunction to cancel #Rosanne despite the show’s huge numbers. We too make a show about a middle class family , come and watch us instead #speechless @Speechless_ABC ✨

I'm glad Roseanne is canceled. The backlash to its cancellation is going to be a deafening nightmare. Nothing good has come of this entire thing.

Thank you Channing Dungey!https://t.co/VIlKTF9y7Z

I just heard #rosanne is cancelled. My reaction— tears. I am so relieved and grateful. The hate that has been spewing from those in Trump’s orbit has really taken a toll on all of our souls and psyches. I didn’t believe it would happen. I had lost faith. Thank you @abc .

From Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show." There was only one thing to do here, and that was the right thing.

For the record, this is Channing Dungey. Sitting on top of your world like a Queen in full judgement of your garbage and taking it out. #Roseanne pic.twitter.com/GxEP2B61uq

This morning @RobertIger quickly and easily determined that righteousness trumps profits by firing an open racist and anti-Semite from his company. If our elected officials had the courage to do the same by declaring that country trumps partisanship we’d have a healthier society.

Firing Roseanne is not enough. I am going to personally remove all of the Meryl Streep scenes from She-Devil.

While it’s great news that @ABCNetwork refuses to co-sign a lunatics dangerous words, it’s also depressing to think of all the good people who just lost what should’ve been a bulletproof job in a volatile industry https://t.co/cSnBMHm72r

Thank You @ABCNetwork and #ChanningDungey for doing what is right. https://t.co/bWL4dySl5K

This wasn't censorship. This was business. She hasn't been prosecuted. She hasn't been silenced. She can carry on saying what she wants. It's just that her employers have decided they don't want to employ her any more. This is freedom. https://t.co/O1VIz6bzSp

I am repulsed that Valerie Jarret had that racist and bigoted "joke" made at her expense and I am sickened that any Black or Muslim person has to keep hearing this sickness in 2018.

let’s change “but”s to “and”s in our rap & watch what happens. and of course; the confluence of economic interests with a demonstrative, public rebuking at a the perfect “where do we stand or kneel” moment, made it a no-brainer and proper. she wntd to get d or she’s or! https://t.co/f2cX0dKZsS

if she somehow forgot that she was the star of a tv show that had advertisers and those advertisers as well as her bosses care about $$$ and public opinion, then she may really need a break after all, poor thing. #selfpwn https://t.co/jH6GO2ZqCq

Yes you did. #FireRoseanne https://t.co/YcxKUJxscA

Glad Roseanne got cancelled but let's be serious if she had a dick she'd still have a job.
— Ally Maynard (@missmayn) May 29, 2018
This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love— one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.

Excited for the literally anything else that Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman will do now
