Rudy Giuliani, Trump's Personal Attorney, Positive For Virus

NEW YORK, NY — Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney for President Donald Trump, has tested positive for the coronavirus. Trump said in a Sunday afternoon tweet that Giuliani had a confirmed positive test.

Giuliani, 76 has in recent days traveled to battleground states representing Trump campaign lawsuits seeking to overturn 2020 election victories by President-elect Joe Biden. He was most recently in Michigan on Saturday.

The former New York City mayor was at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, according to a report from The New York Times. His condition was not known as of late Sunday afternoon.

Jenna Ellis, another of Trump's attorneys, said the president's legal fight to overturn the election result will continue even as Giuliani recovers from the virus.

"The Trump legal team will continue our important work to fight for election integrity," she said on Twitter. "We have a great team, along with able local counsel in each state. Our work won’t be affected, and we press on."
