NEW YORK CITY — Santa ditched the reindeer for a hover board, video and photos show.

Santa Claus was spotted zooming up the East River Wednesday morning on what appears to be an electric surf board by several New Yorkers who stopped to document the Christmas miracle.

Lila Kerns dubbed the surfer "East River Santa," and Reddit user W0000SHH noted his choice of transport, "Beats the bus."

Kerns, a film producer, wrote in a tweet that she'd spotted the surfing Santa in May without his festive holiday outfit.

New Yorkers responded to video of the wave-happy St. Nicholas posted to Reddit, as you might expect, by complaining about their commutes.

"So still better than the bus and most trains," wrote DarthRusty from Long Island City. "And WAY better than a yellow cab."

"Imagine how much he'll save on subway fare," wrote S---tyDuckFace.

"The East river has some crazy currents," added chaanders. "This Santa is brave and stupid and awesome."
