Scarlett Johansson: American Museum Of Natural History 2018 Gala

Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost lead the red carpet of A-listers at the 2018 Museum of Natural History Gala. See photos below!

The American Museum Of Natural History 2018 Gala took place on Thursday evening. An illustrious crowd of guests found their way to the event.
Scarlett Johansson came with her boyfriend comedian Colin Jost, the cast of Saturday Night Live, tennis superstar John McEnroe, Tina Fey, Liev Schreiber, and many more stars attended the event.

Daniela's Lens was there to capture all the action. Take a look below:

6:23 p.m.
It's a full-blown snowstorm out there. My umbrella is turning in the wind, the snow is hard and hurts, my hair is flying uncontrollably around my head, and my feet are already completely wet while I walk through ankle-deep puddles of ice water in ballerina shoes from my home in the crappier part of Jersey City to the subway. I don't care. As long as my camera stays dry, I'm fine. I'm hugging the bag as if my life depends on it. Which it kind of does.

6:42 p.m.
I enter the Museum through the security entrance. All the other photographers are already here.
"You are wearing a dress in a snowstorm!?" one of the photographers says and points to my naked legs.
"Yeah, I'm an idiot," I say. My legs are almost frozen numb from the cold at this point, and I don't bother changing into my high-heels anymore.

6:45 p.m.
Security escorts us to the red carpet, and we take our spots.
To be honest, I have no idea who is on the guest list tonight. All the high-end photographers are here. It's going to be major, that's for sure.

7:19 p.m.
SNL actress Cecily Strong is first.

7:38 p.m.
Tennis legend John McEnroe is here with his wife, Patty Smyth McEnroe.

7:46 p.m.
More SNL: Comedians Alex Moffat, Beck Bennett, and Kyle Mooney.

7:57 p.m.
"Scarlett Johansson is here!" says one of the photographers to me.
"Uh oh, really?" this is going to be good.
"Yes, she is right there at the entrance, getting ready for the carpet. Do you see her?"
"Yes!!!!" I check all my camera settings again. I'm ready. I have a good spot, and I'll get her walking in.

7:58 p.m.
Scarlett Johansson with Colin Jost.

7:59 p.m.
The moment she steps on the carpet, all the photographers go crazy.
"Can I get you right here?" I say to Scarlett and start snapping. "Thank you!"
My female voice does the trick in all the male voices.

8:00 p.m.
And one more.

8:03 p.m.
Canadian actress Jill Hennessy is here. Do you remember her from 'Crossing Jordan'?

8:04 p.m.
Now it's one celeb after the other.
There is Tina Fey! Hi, there!

8:05 p.m.
She poses for me.

8:06 p.m.
Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon. Kate is my superhero comedian, for sure. I wish she would do a paranormal abductee scetch every week on SNL! Is there a compilation somewhere?

8:15 p.m.
Singer Sara Bareilles will perform tonight.

8:17 p.m.
Another one from SNL: Leslie Jones

8:18 p.m.
Chris Redd, Pete Davidson, and Kenan Thompson.

8:20 p.m.
Kenan Thompson. Hi, there!

8:22 p.m.
Uh oh, Liev Schreiber is here. And he looks like the next James Bond tonight. Unfortunately, you have to be an Englishman to play that role. But who cares these days? James Bond with an American accent? Or Liev Schreiber with an English accent?

8:23 p.m.
We can film the opening scene of 'Dr. No' right here, right now. Do you remember? It's 1962, and Sean Connery plays cards in a casino when a woman asks his name:
"Bond, James Bond" and then the music starts... The scene still gives me goosebumps.

Hasn't Liev been training for the Bond thing for years now? His 'Ray Donovan' is basically a buildup for the role of 007. Like 'Remington Steel' was a buildup for Pierce Brosnan.
And tonight, he has the whole aristocratic attitude down to the point, too. I know what I'm talking about because I'm European and in another life, I spent way too much time with way too posh people.

8:24 p.m.
Not so much posh for me anymore. My feet are still wet and frozen to ice cubes. My hair looks like I draped hay around my head. Dirty, damp hay, to be precise. My eyeliner is smeared across my face, and I'm frantically waving at author Jonathan Safran Foer, who is here with Liev, to look at me. He doesn't. And I'm not a Bond girl tonight, that's for sure.

8:25 p.m.
But Liev sees me. Parts of me want him to drop the Bond line right now.
Seriously, I'm a crazy person that builds an entire 'Dr. No' remake in her head while shooting a red carpet and thinking of Jonathan's book "Eating Animals" and wanting to eat a lot of animals right now, because I'm also starving. Give me a break.

9:35 p.m.
I schlep home wading through more ice puddles and spending the rest of the evening defrosting my feet in the kitchen sink. One of my four roommates sees it and screams at me in her Russian accent: "You are disgusting!"
'Tomorrow is another day' I think to myself.
