SummerStage 2021 Lineup: Wynton Marsalis, Patti Smith and more
In-person shows return to Central Park from mid-June to October.

CENTRAL PARK, NY –SummerStage is back! With a full lineup announced today, free and benefit concerts will be in-person and staged at four venues across three boroughs. Like years before, SummerStage will offer musical performances from large name acts to up-and-coming artists, including Sun Ra Arkestra, who headlined the very first SummerStage in 1986. Opening night is June 17 and shows last through September.
Here are several upcoming free shows:
- Thursday, June 17 at 7 p.m.: Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. Request tickets starting June 7 at 12 p.m.
- Saturday, June 19 at 5 p.m.: Screening of "Summer of Soul" followed by live performances featuring Questlove and surprise guests. Request tickets starting June 7 at 12 p.m.
- Saturday, July 17 at 12 p.m.: Gloria Gaynor and Sundae Sermon's - DJ Stormin' Norman of Disco Sequestered. Request tickets starting June 21 at 12 p.m.
- Sunday, August 1 at 7 p.m.: Tito Nieves. Request tickets starting July 5 at 12 p.m.
- Saturday, August 7 at 7 p.m.: Funk Flex Birthday Concert with Ginuwine and friends. Request tickets starting July 12 at 12 p.m.
- Saturday, August 14 at 7 p.m.: Marc Rebillet, DJ Premier and Brady Watt. Request tickets starting July 19 at 12 p.m.
- Sunday, September 19 at 7 p.m.: Patti Smith and her band. Request tickets starting August 30 at 12 p.m.
Benefit concerts include Machine Gun Kelly, Dawes, Lake Street Dive, Indigo Girls with Ani DiFranco and Blue Note at SummerStage featuring George Clinton, Chris Botti and Galactic.

SummerStage also announced the return for the annual Charlie Parker Jazz Festival weekend for two days at Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park in August.

SummerStage will be enacting safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID. Masks are required inside the venue at all times.
