THE BRONX, NEW YORK — A 15-year-old boy fatally beat a man for a single dollar in The Bronx, police said.

The teen was charged Monday with the murder of Juan Fresnada, 60, who was kicked and beaten during a Christmas Eve mugging in Morrisania, said police.

The 15-year-old and Abu Conteh, 18, attacked Fresnada and a 29-year old man on Third Avenue and East 164th Street about 1:30 a.m., police said.

After punching and kicking the two men, the teens grabbed just $1 and ran away, according to police.

The attackers demanded their property and, when the two men refused, they were punched to the ground. The muggers took a single dollar from them and ran away, police said.

The teen, whose name was not released, was arrested in The Bronx's 42nd Precinct about 2:30 p.m., police said.

He and Conteh both faces charges of murder and gang assault, according to the NYPD.
