NEW YORK CITY, NY -- Thousands of New York City flights for Wednesday have been canceled in the midst of the city's latest - and potentially snowiest - nor'easter yet.
LaGuardia, John F. Kennedy and Newark Liberty International airports are bracing to shut down for the day after each reported hundreds of flight cancelations because of the winter storm by early Wednesday morning.
The snowstorm - NYC's fourth in three weeks - threatens to blanket the city with as much as 15 inches of snow and last up to 24 hours. It is expected to last until around midnight on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
