Top 10 Fastest-Growing Companies in New York City
Inc. released its annual list of the top 5000 fastest-growing companies in the country on Wednesday and NYC was well-represented.

NEW YORK, NY — San Francisco may still be known as the tech capital of the country, but New York City's businesses are catching up.
Inc. released its list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the country on Wednesday morning and NYC was well-represented on the list. In fact, New York was the top metro area on the list with 207 businesses represented. And the top 2 on the list were both software start-ups. Take that, Silicon Valley.
The top New York City business was Bounce Exchange, which is headquartered in Times Square, and ranked No. 7 overall. It's also the fastest growing software company in the country, according to Inc. The company, which deals with cloud-based behavioral marketing (something that apparently exists), has grown 14,575 percent in the past three years with a revenue of $15.7 million.

The second-fastest growing company in the city is Persado, headquartered in Nomad, and ranked No. 16 overall. Persado is a cognitive content generation platform (also, something that apparently exists). The company has grown 9,390 percent in the past three years and has brought in $17.4 million in revenue.
"With New York City being the epicenter of innovation and culture, it's no wonder why more and more companies are looking to New York to invest in their business and be part of this city's economic success story," Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito said in a statement. "I want to thank Inc. Media for their report which confirms what we've known: New York City is the best place for entrepreneurs to launch their business."
