Unlicensed Driver Fatally Struck 7-Year-Old Brooklyn Boy: Cops

Susan​ Pierrot,​ 48, was arrested for driving without a license after she fatally struck Payson Lott, 7, with her Jeep, police said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — An unlicensed driver faces criminal charges for hitting a 7-year-old boy with her Jeep and ending his life, police said.

Susan Pierrot, 48, was arrested for hitting Payson Lott, 7, on the corner of Pennsylvania and Blake avenues about 8:15 a.m. Thursday, just two days after a 10-year-old girl was fatally struck by a school bus, said police.

Pierrot hit Payson and a 39-year-old woman in the crosswalk as she made a swift right turn onto Pennsylvania Avenue, police said.

The woman is listed in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital, where Payton later died, according to police.

Pierrot was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, failure to yield and failure to exercise due care, said police.
