VIDEO: Watch Workers Replace Track 10 At Penn Station

A spokesman called track 10 "the one most in need of renewal" as repair work at the transit hub continues.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Amtrak workers are readying to pour fresh concrete and install new rail on track 10 as part of repair work at Penn Station, one of the biggest infrastructure projects the transit system has seen in years.

Amtrak opened the track to reporters for a few minutes on Wednesday. A spokesman said workers had recently finished ripping out old concrete and were getting ready to install a new concrete base.

After that, they’ll install special blocks and brand new rails spanning the length of the platform.
