Video: Worker Massages Buddy On NYC Street
A tender moment between two workers, a massage table and a New York City street popped up on Twitter Thursday.

NEW YORK CITY — New York City street corner? Ah yeah, that's the spot. Video popped up on Twitter Thursday that shows what appears to be one National Grid worker giving his fellow worker a very thorough rub-down.
"Is that a massage?" says the unseen man who filmed the encounter from a car. "That looks like he's getting a massage."

Video shows the worker splayed out on what appears to be a massage table as another man in a yellow jacket digs his elbow into his back.

"And it's a table. Look at this, check this out, this is the best," the videographer says. "This guy's controlling traffic while he's getting a massage."
It wasn't immediately clear when or where in New York City the video was taken — a National Grid truck is parked nearby and the company only services Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island — but what was clear was the delight the videographer had in capturing the moment.

"Are we seein' this? What's happening?" he says as a man crosses the street in front of his car. "I mean, watch the guy," he tells his friend, "But wow, that's awesome."
Patch reached out to National Grid to enquire whether workers are trained or encouraged to give one another massages, but did not receive an immediate response.
NYC Scanner shared the video Thursday with the message, "This is strange," but followers objected to this assessment.
"They work all day with their hands, back, body and his friend is probably helping him so he’s not in so much pain," wrote @Jenny108. " What’s weird about that?"
Added Neil Aquino, "You feel that way because you view kindness as strange."
"This is NY," wrote John Micko. "Nothing is strange."
"I've seen stranger stuff in the subway," concluded Mel B. "But I still laughed though."
Update: National Grid confirmed this video of their workers was taken in Brooklyn and provided the following statement:
"We employ a contractor who specializes in athletic training to work with our employee field crews to proactively prepare them for a hard day’s work. This program has been in place for more than two years in our downstate NY service area. These trainers help our crew members with any physical concerns they may have by remediating them or preventing them from getting worse. On occasion, the trainers also visit worksite locations to address these concerns."
