Woman Jumps in Front of Train in Queens Causing Delays
Police are investigating after a woman was killed at Elmhurst Avenue in Queens.
NEW YORK, NY — A woman was killed Friday morning when she was struck by an M train at the Elmhurt Avenue station in Queens, police and MTA officials said.
According to an MTA spokesman, indications are a woman in her 30s jumped in front of a southbound M train. The NYPD said they were still investigating.
Trains were snarled all morning by the investigation, which shut down Elmhurst Avenue for a time. E, F, M and R trains were all running with extensive delays as of 10:30 a.m.

There was also an unrelated rail condition at Central Park North (110th Street), which was causing some 2 and 3 trains to terminate at Times Square-42nd Street and extensive delays on the 1, 2 and 3 trains.
