BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A private garbage truck slammed into a woman, dragged her down a Brooklyn block then sped away from the dying woman, police said.

The truck hit the woman as she crossed 86th Street near Bay Parkway in Bensonhurst about 4 a.m. Thursday morning, said police.
