Christopher John Smolar, 40, Vice-President of Sales

Christopher John Smolar of Woodland Park, NJ passed away on April 14, 2013 in New York, NY at the age of 40.

Born in New Hyde Park, NY on Nov. 12, 1972, Smolar lived in Woodland Park for the rest of his life. He was Vice President of Sales for Flex Products, Carlstadt, for 17 years until 2011. Smolar was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.

He was the beloved son of Edward and Lorraine (nee Price) Smolar of Woodland Park; brother of Jen Mehner and her husband Bill of Totowa; grandson of Josephine Smolar of Dumont; nephew of Carol Cross of Lynbrook, NY and Elaine Rogers and her husband Walter also of Dumont; uncle of Billy and Kayla Mehner. Also surviving are many loving cousins.

A wake will be held on Tuesday, April 16 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 9 a.m. with a funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C.
