NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Herricks High School student Jeylin Lee was one of eight young musicians nationwide to perform at the 43rd annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.
The performance, which was televised on CBS last month, paid tribute to famous Japanese-American violinist Midori Gotō.
Lee traveled to the nation's capital a few weeks before the show aired for recording, filming, and production, according to a press release. The ensemble accompanied rising star violinist Randall Goosby in performing "I Sing the Body Electric."
