Daniel A. Ferrara, 65, Attorney

Daniel A. Ferrara of New Hyde Park, NY passed away on Feb. 7, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born on May 20th, 1947.

Ferrara was the husband of Barbara (nee Klimek) for 41 years, father of Anne Marie Casey (James), Joanna Veneziano (John) and Samuel Ferrara (Jennifer); Pop Pop of Jack, Samantha, Anthony Veneziano, Daniela and Hannah Casey and Daniel Ferrara; brother of Mary Ann Descovich (Peter), Frank Ferrara (Pat) and North Hempstead Councilman Angelo Ferrara (Pat); brother in law of Johanna Whitmore and Chet Klimek; nephew of Marjorie Castoria. He will be sorely missed by his loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ferrara was a graduate of St. Johns Law School, a member of the NY National Guard-Fighting 69th & NY State Guard, the NYS Bar Association, and Past President of Columbian Lawyers Association - Queens County. He practiced law in Brooklyn & Queens before becoming a founding partner in Pioneer Land Title, going on to become N.Y. State Agency Counsel for Ticor Title Insurance.

A wake was held on Feb. 9-10 at the New Hyde Park Funeral Homeass of Christian Burial was held on Feb. 11 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, New Hyde Park, NY. Interment St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
