Herricks Middle School ESL Students Hold Thanksgiving Feast

Students in the ESL program at Herricks Middle School had a celebratory feast for Thanksgiving. They tasted traditional American fare along with multi-cultural favorites brought in by students.

Together, students decorated the classroom, set the tables and served the food. In a warm atmosphere, students mingled with their classmates and made new friends while Mozart played in the background.

Lastly, in the spirit of the holiday, students brought in non-perishable items that were donated to the middle school REACH program to help local families in need. As one student reflected, “it was a lot of fun.”
