List: Over 1,000 New Hyde Park Businesses Took Out PPP Loans
Data released Monday shows more than 1,000 New Hyde Park companies took out loans under the federal Paycheck Protection Program.
NEW HYDE PARK, NY — More than 1,000 small businesses in New Hyde Park received thousands of dollars in federal assistance under the Paycheck Protection Program, which was created to help businesses continue paying workers during the coronavirus pandemic, according to records released Monday.
These records, published by the U.S. Small Business Administration in consultation with the Treasury Department, include details on individual loans doled out as part of the program, commonly known as PPP. The data include businesses that took out loans of more than $150,000 and those that took out loans below that mark.
Loans of more than $150,000 accounted for nearly 75 percent of the loan dollars approved, officials said. This data include business names, addresses, industry and ZIP codes, business type, demographic information, nonprofit categorization, lender name, number of jobs supported and loan amount ranges.

For all loans below $150,000, the federal government did not disclose individual business names and addresses.

In New Hyde Park, 186 loans of at least $150,000 were taken out under PPP. Three companies took out loans of between $5 million to $10 million, the highest bracket: M and J Engineering, P.C.; Rael Automatic Sprinkler Co. and Sirina Fire Protection. Across these three companies, the data indicated a combined 566 jobs would be retained.
Six companies took out loans of between $2 million and $5 million, the second highest bracket: Asnis Dental, Jamaica Bearings, National Environmental Safety Company, Piece Management, TVR Communications and William A. Gross Construction Associates. The six businesses indicated that a combined 949 jobs would be retained.
Nineteen more businesses took out loans between $1 million and $2 million: All Transit, Environmental Planning and Management, General Fibre Products, Gutman, Mintz, Baker & Sonnenfeldt, Harbor Day Care Center, Hunter Ambulette-Ambulance, Hunter EMS, ICNA Relief USA, K.I.M. Co. Refrigeration, Kedis Enterprises, Keystone Electronics, Micheal Anthony Contracting, Milad Contracting, Premier Care Dental Management, Rampart Brokerage, Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt, United Sleep Diagnostics, Voicebrook, and Woodland International Transport Co. The companies indicated that a combined 2,392 jobs would be retained.
Small Loans
New Hyde Park saw 912 loans under $150,000 taken out under PPP. The loans range from as low as $753 up to $147,700. The median small loan taken out was $25,000.
