  • Temporary platforms will open to the immediate west of the existing station, between South 8th and South 12th streets. Westbound and eastbound platforms will have multiple access points, including accessibility ramps.
  • Parking will be available at the Church of the Holy Spirit parking lot at 16 South 6th St.
  • Ticket machines will be available on the northwest side of 12th Street.

The MTA asked that travelers give themselves more time to reach station platforms during the change, which is part of the broader LIRR Expansion Project. Crews are adding a third track along nearly 10 miles of right-of-way between Floral Park and Hicksville, which transit officials said will increase capacity, improve reliability and create new service opportunities.
