Muriel Rose Sowinski, 92, Grandmother

Muriel Rose Sowinski of Sun City, FL passed away on March 5, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born on Sept. 4, 1920.

A former resident of New Hyde Park, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin and her sister, Eleanor Kozanosky.

She was the mother of son Robert Sowinski, daughter Joan Alverson and daughter and son-in-law, Ann & Michael Holthaus; grandmother to Caitlin & Kristin Jones; sister to Lorraine LoCasale; aunt to nieces Lauretta Gallinaro & Mary Dean.

A private family service will take place in Tampa, FL with interment in NY/LI Pinelawn National Cemetery in Farmingdale on Thursday, March 14.

She will be dearly missed by her family & friends as she touched the lives of many.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name would be appreciated.
